Greetings fellow SpongeBob fans, and welcome to the inaugural post of the official SpongeBob Crew Blog! Have you ever wondered what a day in the life of a SpongeBob writer is like? Or what exactly it is that our Creative Director does? Or what our Layout Supervisor thought about his lunch last Tuesday? Well fear not, my Bikini Bottom minded friend! For soon you will be able to return to this very webpage to learn answers to all these exciting questions, and more! Stay with us a while, and you may just gain that deeper incite you crave, as we take an updated-roughly-as-often-as-we-feel-like-it journey into the minds of the people...behind the sponge.
But first, to commemorate such a special event, I thought we could take this opportunity to re-post the very first SpongeBob fan blog, written in the winter of 1896 by Thaddeus T. Pikkenbottom. Enjoy!

The Blogge in Which My Exaltations Reveal the Glorious Merriment Provided by Robert the Sponge, Owner of the Fabulous Squared Pants. Salutations to my faithful readers, my esteemed umpires of taste. As you know, in this blogge I might usually take the time to extol the draftsmanship of the most recent editorial 'cartoon' lampooning the administration of President Cleveland. However, I recently became aware of a new entertainment that must become known throughout the land! And so it is today that I begin what I hope to be a long running report of the hilarious allegories contained in a new programme, known to the local children as SpongeBob SquarePants! The players in this fine under-sea pictoral presentation include a devilishly-stingy employer, one Eugene Krabs, who's penny-pinching ways might shame Dicken's Scrooge himself; a daft sea star named Patrick who's simple mindedness is matched only by his fidelity to his companions; Squidward Q. Tentacles, an aspiring musician under the employ of Mr. Krabs; and the shining star among them all, the plucky young sea sponge and cuisinier who's antics are at the center of each new adventure, SpongeBob SquarePants himself. I assure you, my friends, there are many more lovely creatures to meet and be amazed by in Bikini Bottom, as the programme's local borough is known. Would that I were able to reveal them all to you here in text, but they truly ought to be encountered by one's own person. I for one look forward to many years of exciting new fictions from the world's premiere source of humorous entertainment, SpongeBob SquarePants! T.T. Pikkenbottom, Esq. Sadly, we here at Nickelodeon can't speed up time (yet), but we can give SpongeBob fans an exciting look behind the scenes through our crew blog.
