The Penguins of Madagascar

To most people, Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private are just four cute penguins living in the Central Park Zoo. And that's exactly what they want people to think. Why? Because these placid-looking penguins are actually an elite strike force with unmatched commando skills and a secret headquarters. Their mission? To maintain order in the zoo. Their nemesis? Their obnoxious new neighbour, King Julien. This party animal and self proclaimed "King of the Lemurs" is new to the zoo...and he's looking to shake things up!

Skipper
Skipper has the heart of an action hero and the swagger to match. He's a natural leader who has a single-minded focus on results. Skipper approaches every situation with intensity, which may explain his overly active imagination. To Skipper, every innocent coincidence appears to be a nefarious conspiracy. It's a good thing that Skipper's 100% confident that only his team is capable of finding the truth!
Rico
Rico is the ultimate loose cannon and has (literally) internalized his role as demolitions expert. He has an entire munitions department in his gut and the remarkable ability to \"retrieve\" the appropriate bomb at will. Any number of useful items can be hocked up upon demand. Can opener? Fishing poll? 10,000 ball bearings? Bass guitar? Got it.
Private
Private is a bit fuzzy on who he is and his role in the group. Since he's not as sure of himself, Private is completely open to every experience. The zoo can be a rough place (especially the Reptile House) and Private is a little too obviously naive for his own good. Private's openness makes him the most likely to party with the lemurs for better or for worse.
Kowalski
When Skipper needs analysis or a spur-of-the-moment invention, Kowalski is there with his crayon, notebook and slightly skewed scientific method. Kowalski's authoritative attitude covers up the fact that he usually doesn't have a clue about what's happening. Even though Kowalski's a self-styled scientific mastermind, he doesn't read English any better than the rest of the Penguins.
Mort
Mort is King Julien's #1 fan and hopeless devotee. Nothing gives Mort a greater thrill than touching King Julien's feet. To prove his worth to King Julien, Mort hatches crazy schemes that always make things worse. Mort's fluff ball cuteness, big eyes and falsetto voice make him irresistible to all humans. To the animals in the zoo, however, these characteristics make Mort incredibly annoying, and they avoid him at all costs.
Maurice
Maurice is King Julien's long-suffering sergeant-at-arms who�s sick of pretending that he's happy to cater to King Julien's crazy whims. He just does his best to keep King Julien from getting totally out of control. Maurice may be surrounding by completely crazy creatures, but he is a realist. Maurice knows the score�too bad no one is asking him for it!
Marlene
An otter who's originally from Northern California, Marlene is still adjusting to her new life in Manhattan. Fiercely independent, Marlene has decided not to choose sides between the Penguins and the Lemurs. In fact, she finds herself agreeing with Skipper as often as she agrees with King Julien. Marlene's playful spirit often clashes with Skipper's organization and discipline but that doesn't hurt their friendship.
King Julien
King Julien is the zoo's self-appointed monarch and the ultimate party animal. This spoiled boy king likes to order everyone around and he would be completely intolerable if not for his insistence that everyone have fun! King Julien's towering ego more than makes up for his pint-sized body. He's quick with an insult, but he's even quicker with a smile, so it's hard for anyone to take this lemur seriously.
