THE BIG REPORT
The Weather Channel is going to attempt to break the Guinness World Record® for the world’s largest interactive weather report but we need your help to do it!

We are calling on schools across the country to send us the temperature in their playground on Wednesday August 18 which we will use to compile our interactive weather report as part of National Science Week. The report will air on The Weather Channel on FOXTEL and AUSTAR at 6pm AEST on Wednesday August 18.

Here’s how you and your school can get involved: Ask your teacher to register your school’s details. They will then receive a unique ID number and information pack from The Weather Channel. On August 18 at midday AEST, take the temperature at your school. Your teacher should then submit it to us by 2pm AEST. Tune into The Weather Channel on FOXTEL and AUSTAR at 6pm AEST to see if we’ve broken the record! All schools that participate in the world record attempt will receive a certificate of participation, acknowledgement of the school on The Weather Channel website and a DVD of The Big Report. Registration is open from June 1 to July 21 and the first 500 schools to register will receive a free thermometer from The Weather Channel. These schools will also be able to enter a competition to win a visit from The Weather Channel’s Dick Whitaker on the day of the record attempt, so be quick.
