turn your lights off for Earth Hour

At 8:30pm Saturday 26 March in cities and towns all over the world will go dark for an hour. Millions of Australians took part in previous Earth Hours - it is a great way to show that you care about the planet. You can sign up to say your turning out the lights at the Earth Hour website www.earthhour.org.au

Earth Hour is on Saturday 26 March 2011 at 8.30pm.

Many things we do are using up the Earth's resources - like wasting electricity or wasting water or making too much rubbish. During Earth Hour millions of people get together to say we can do a lot better!

We're hoping that schools, kids and families around Australia will once again join in this event. There's something everyone can do beyond the hour of darkness to help protect our world. Earth Hour is a time to think about the little or big things we can all do in the next year.

Why not talk to your family and take action, for Earth Hour? It can be just one thing that will reduce your impact on the planet and help move us towards a more sustainable world. Together, we can all make a difference.
